绝对爵士乐队是一些北京和上海的音乐家集合合作，演自创编新鲜的曲目。由来自纽约的爵士钢琴家Julia Chen；谢燕辉，长号；高太行，萨克斯；小豆，鼓；丹尼尔，贝斯 组成。

Absolutely Not jazz collective is one of the latest collaborative jazz projects between musicians in Beijing and Shanghai that puts a modern and hip twist to familiar songs old and new: this time they will bring another wonderful perfprmance with jazz pianist Julia Chen from New York.

乐手介绍

钢琴：Julia Chen

在美国纽约的布鲁克林长大，Julia从很小就开始学习爵士和古典钢琴，她在俄亥俄州的Oberlin Conservatory of Music学习爵士钢琴演奏，他的老师包括Marco Benevento, Roberta Piket, Billy Hart, 及Dan Wall等大师。她学成之后回到纽约，与一些著名爵士酒乐队一起进行表演，并已经有九年的爵士钢琴教学经验。

Raised in Brooklyn, New York, Julia Chen began studying both jazz and classical piano at an early age. She moved back to New York City after finishing a BA in Jazz Piano Performance at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in Ohio. Her previous teachers include Marco Benevento, Roberta Piket, Billy Hart, and Dan Wall. Julia performed with Oberlin bands in the Danenberg Honors Recital and at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and she currently performs with several groups in New York. She has nine years of experience teaching piano lessons in NYC, through the Oberlin Conservatory and at the Encore/Coda Music Camp.

长号：谢燕辉（Terry Xie）

Terry Hsieh是一个在Oberlin College双修爵士长号和东亚研究的学生，深受各种爵士大师和流派的影响。作为一个长号手，他先在从师于杜克大学的爵士教授John V. Brown. 自2006至 2007， 他被选中作为首席长号手在University of Carolina at Greensboro’s Honors High School的爵士乐队中表演，并受教于贝斯手Steve Haines。他还从师于名爵士乐家如Maria Schneider, Mike Murley, Marcus Roberts,和 Vincent Gardner。

Terry Hsieh is a trombonist, composer and bandleader hailing from Chapel Hill, NC who currently lives and works in Beijing, China. He graduated from Oberlin College and Conservatory with a BA in Chinese and a BM in Jazz performance, where he primarily studied with Robin Eubanks. Hsieh is the founder and bandleader of the Terry Hsieh Collective. He has shared the stage with such luminaries as Terence Blanchard, Maria Schneider, Jen Shyu, Vincent Gardner, Jason Marsalis, Jaleel Shaw, Linda Oh, Stevie Wonder and Robin Eubanks.

萨克斯：高太行（Nathaniel Gao）

高太行（Nathaniel Gao），2006年以来活跃在北京爵士音乐界的的萨克斯演奏家和作曲家。作为“红手”五重奏乐队的成员之一和他自己的四重奏和三重奏乐队的主导者，他为北京爵士音乐做出了重要贡献。此外，他还积极参与了其他风格和流派的音乐活动，包括“Three Sergeants Syndrome”，“北京城市大乐队”，Afrokoko Roots 和 “不一定” 等音乐团体。他参与了“九门音乐节”、“迷笛爵士节”、“地坛音乐节”以及北京、上海和广州等多地的演出活动。

高太行于2006年获得美国北艾奥瓦大学音乐表演学士学位，于2011年获得纽约城市学院爵士演奏硕士学位。

Nathaniel Gao is a saxophonist and composer who has been based in Beijing since 2006. He has been a key contributor to the local jazz scene as both a co-leader of the quintet Red Hand as well as a leader of his own quartet and trio. Additionally, Gao has been active in an eclectic range of other musical projects including Three Sergeants Syndrome, The Beijing City Big Band, Afrokoko Roots and Bu Yiding. He has performed at the Ninegates Jazz Festival, the MIDI Jazz Festival, the Ditan Park Music Festival, and at major venues in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

贝斯：Daniel Callaghan

丹尼尔为爱尔兰最好的低音提琴家之一。在过去的六年间，他一直作为一名职业音乐家在各地演出，并且与数名爱尔兰顶尖爵士乐手合作过，他们分别为Mike nielson ，Hugh Buckley 和 richie buckley.dan于2010年毕业于new park音乐中心爵士表演专业。

Dan 2013年从爱尔兰来中国，在中国他跟很都大师爵士家演出，他们分别为长号手Robin Eubanks,钢琴手Alessandro Galati , 歌手Enrica Bacchia,萨克斯手 高太行，钢琴手Moreno Donedal，钢琴手罗宁。

Dan Callaghan is one of Ireland's finest double bass players. He has been working as a professional musician for the last six years and has performed and recorded with many of Ireland's leading jazz musicians including Leopoldo Osio, Dig a Little Deeper, Guiliano Nistri, Mike Nielson, Hugh Buckley and Richie Buckley. Dan graduated with an Honours BA in Jazz Performance from Newpark Music Centre in 2010.

Dan has been working professionally in Beijing, China since early 2013 and has fast become one of the first call bassist in Beijing. His playing has brought him to many cities in China including Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou and Shenzhen with Chinese and international musicians such as pianist pianist Moreno Donadel, drummer Alex Morris and pianist Luo Ning.

鼓：小豆

2001年开始职业演奏。
曾先后合作的乐队名称有：
‘Ah Q’ Jazz Band, 刘元爵士乐队，夏佳三重奏及夏佳电子三重奏，Red Hand(红手)爵士乐队，刘玥三重奏，Beijing City Big Band(北京城市之光大乐队), 法国钢琴演奏家Christophe Lier的三重奏和他的五重奏，加拿大大师Yannick Rieu ，“Free Jazz”自由即兴爵士大师Matthew Ship中国北京和上海的演出，以及有幸与夏佳三重奏为来自法国小号大师Erik Truffaz伴奏及同台表演。
长期活跃在爵士音乐领域，曾被杂志“Time Out”评为当今最活跃的青年音乐家。
2009年以优异的成绩被荷兰Prins Claus Conservatory (王子音乐学院)破格年中录取
在荷兰留学期间，倍受独具特色的欧洲古典和欧洲风格的爵士音乐的影响并进修音乐历史，理论，教育，及高级别演奏技巧等课程
曾师从于：Joris Teepe, Alex Sipiagin, JD Walter,Freddie Bryant, Kurt Weiss, Steve Altenberg, Joost van Schaik, 以及和 “ Ralph Peterson 和Gene Jackson 这样大师级别的人物，多次应邀同著名的钢琴大师 David Bergman 和长号演奏大师 Robin Eubanks 在他们的大师课上表演。
2011年以优秀成绩被学校选送到纽约学习及交流活动，期间被邀请参加了著名爵士吉他大师John Abercrombie的大师课以及代表王子音乐学院在纽约一系列的演出活动。一年后入选进入学院jazz big band担任鼓手。 2013年毕业后回到北京生活和工作。
